High school dually enrolled students seeking disability-related accommodations must apply for services through Disability Support Services (DSS). To apply, students complete the DSS Application and submit verification of disability from an appropriately licensed medical or treatment provider.
Upon receipt of documentation, DSS will schedule an intake appointment with the student. Intake appointments are approximately one hour and may be conducted via Zoom, phone, or in person. Each student will be assigned a DSS Counselor to guide them through the process and support their accommodation needs.
Students who are approved for accommodations will receive an Authorized Academic Accommodation letter. To implement accommodations in dual enrollment courses, students must provide this letter to both their college instructor and their high school resource specialist.
