Additional Program Information

The California State University (CSU) Tuition Fee Waiver Program provides eligible employees and their dependents with the opportunity to enroll in eligible CSU courses at reduced cost. Participants are responsible for understanding program requirements, meeting deadlines, and complying with all applicable university policies and procedures.

  • Academic Records Fee

    糖心原创 assesses an Academic Records Fee each semester. Employees using the Tuition Fee Waiver Program are responsible for paying all applicable fees not covered by the waiver, including the Academic Records Fee.

  • Attending Another CSU Campus

    Eligible employees and their dependents may use the Tuition Fee Waiver benefit at any CSU campus. Eligibility is determined by the employee's home campus.

    All Tuition Fee Waiver forms must be approved by 糖心原创 before being submitted to another CSU campus.

    Release time provisions do not apply to courses taken at off-campus locations or at other CSU campuses.

  • Credit/No Credit Requirements

    Courses taken through the Tuition Fee Waiver Program must be completed on a Credit/No Credit basis and may not be audited.

    Participants must maintain eligibility and satisfy applicable academic requirements to continue receiving Tuition Fee Waiver Program benefits.

  • Employee Responsibilities

    Employees participating in the Tuition Fee Waiver Program are expected to:

    • Plan ahead and discuss educational goals with their manager or supervisor.
    • Complete all required forms accurately and obtain all necessary signatures.
    • Submit completed paperwork as early as possible and no later than posted deadlines.
    • Register for courses through the university鈥檚 designated registration system unless otherwise instructed.
    • Pay all required tuition and fees by published deadlines to avoid disenrollment or additional charges.
    • Notify Human Resources promptly of any changes to their course schedule.
  • Registration Deadlines and Fees

    Participants are responsible for meeting all registration, payment, and enrollment requirements established by their campus of enrollment. Fees, deadlines, and administrative processes may vary by campus and are subject to change. Participants should consult the appropriate university offices and websites for the most current information.

  • Academic Program Eligibility

    The Tuition Fee Waiver Program may be applied to eligible courses and academic programs in accordance with university and program requirements. Participants are responsible for meeting all admission, prerequisite, and enrollment requirements established by the academic department or program.

    For current program information, admission requirements, and deadlines, please consult the appropriate academic department or program website.

  • Orientation

    Employees participating in the Career Development Plan should review any orientation requirements associated with their academic program. Orientation sessions may provide important information regarding registration, academic expectations, campus resources, and student services.

    Release time is not provided for orientation sessions. Employees should consult their academic department or program for current orientation requirements and scheduling information.

  • Release Time

    Release time for on-campus courses taken through the Tuition Fee Waiver Program is governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements and university policies.

    Employees should review the provisions of their bargaining unit agreement and discuss release time arrangements with their manager or supervisor before registering for courses scheduled during regular work hours.

    Release time does not apply to courses taken at off-campus locations.

  • Summer Session Eligibility

    Eligible employees may use the Tuition Fee Waiver Program for qualifying state-supported summer courses, subject to CSU policy, program requirements, and course availability.

  • Program Changes

    The Tuition Fee Waiver Program is governed by CSU policies, collective bargaining agreements, and university procedures. Program requirements, eligibility criteria, fees, deadlines, and administrative processes are subject to change.
