Eligible employees may transfer their fee waiver benefit to a spouse, registered domestic partner, or eligible dependent child, subject to applicable age limits.
Dependents must apply for admission, be accepted to a CSU campus, and be matriculated in a degree or teaching credential program. Eligible dependents may pursue an undergraduate, graduate, or credential program offered through the CSU.
Enrollment of dependents under the fee waiver program is subject to campus space availability, as determined by the campus administration.

Registered Domestic Partner: Eligibility is based on the same criteria used for health benefit eligibility.
Please note: If a dependent reaches the maximum eligible age (23 or 25, depending on the employee category) during an academic term, they may complete that semester or quarter using the fee waiver benefit. Fee waiver benefits are not prorated. After the term ends, the dependent is no longer eligible for fee waiver benefits.
Dependent Tuition Fee Waiver
Eligible dependents may receive a waiver of State Tuition Fees, subject to program eligibility requirements and applicable employee category provisions.
Tuition and fee waiver benefits for eligible dependents vary by employee category. Benefits for dependents of represented employees are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement, while benefits for dependents of non-represented employees are determined by CSU policy. The information below summarizes these provisions.
This includes the State University Tuition Fee charged during state-supported summer
term. State University Tuition Fees include Undergraduate, Credential and Graduate/Post
Baccalaureate Tuition Fees.
Application Process
The Tuition and Fee Waiver application process begins at the employee's campus of
employment. Eligible employees are responsible for completing and submitting all required
forms to participate in the Tuition and Fee Waiver and Reduction Program.
A new Tuition Fee Waiver application must be submitted for each semester in which
you wish to use the benefit.
Dependent Tuition and Fee Waiver Forms
Dependent Tuition and Fee Waiver forms are completed through Adobe Sign. To begin,
select the Fee Waiver Form button below and choose the appropriate form from the Workflow drop-down menu.

CSU Application Fee Reimbursement
Eligible dependent children, spouses, and registered domestic partners are required
to pay the CSU application fee when submitting their application. Upon enrollment
at a CSU campus, the employee may apply for reimbursement of the application fee through
the CSU Fee Waiver Program.
Please note:
To request reimbursement, complete and submit the CSU Application Fee Reimbursement
Request form after enrollment has been confirmed.
If your spouse, registered domestic partner, or dependent child plans to use the Tuition and Fee Waiver benefit at a CSU campus other than your campus of employment, coordination between the two campuses is required.
