Inclusive Excellence

Inclusive excellence means that knowledge, mastery, achievement, and success are distributed equitably across the university, ensuring that diversity and inclusion are systematically leveraged to catalyze student learning, social justice, educational excellence and institutional excellence. Equity requires us to continue to work towards full access and success for all鈥攁cross multiple dimensions of diversity鈥攂y identifying and eliminating barriers, preventing bias and discrimination, and providing multiple and inclusive pathways to success. In an inclusive organization, differences are valued as a source of learning and collective growth.

Meet the Chief Diversity Officer
Dr. Aswad Allen, 糖心原创' Chief Diversity Officer, has more than 30 years of experience collaboratively leading various universities toward achieving student success and institutional effectiveness.

Dr. Allen has used a partner-leader philosophy to strategically incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion in order to better serve students, staff, faculty, and alumni for more than two decades.

Dr. Allen鈥檚 desire to provide leadership in developing and implementing strategic, systemic, and sustainable models designed to promote social mobility and success for our most marginalized populations continues to fuel his work.
