Categories for Math/Quantitative Reasoning

M1 - Fulfilled requirement
M2 - Enroll in general education (GE) math/quantitative reasoning courses
M3 - Enroll in supported GE math/quantitative reasoning courses (participation in Early Start is recommended)
M4 - Enroll in supported GE math/quantitative reasoning courses (participation in Early Start is strongly recommended)

All students are highly encouraged to complete their GE Area 2 graduation requirement in their first year at ��ԭ��.

Please note that your placement category may change if you change your major and/or when your final high school and college transcripts have been received and reviewed.

Algebra-Intensive Majors

Some majors require a stronger math foundation from day one. Because algebra is a core building block for upper-division coursework in these fields, students in these programs may be placed differently than those in non-algebra-intensive majors and that's okay! Your placement is designed to set you up for success in your specific field.
