Early Start Workshops

Early Start helps new students strengthen their math and written communication skills before starting college in the fall. It’s designed to support your academic journey and improve your chances of graduating on time.

Students are placed in Early Start based on systemwide placement standards that include standardized test scores and high school coursework.

Workshop Details

The virtual workshops will walk you through the summer courses and help you decide which classes are the best fit for you. You will receive additional information on how to log in via email after signing up.

Start by signing up with a date and time that works best for you. 


At the information session, you will learn:

  • Why it’s helpful to begin your college coursework during the summer
  • What to expect from your summer classes — including course details, costs, parking, and materials
  • What’s expected of you as a Early Start Program student
  • How to complete your registration for summer classes
