Open Call - Faculty Service

Faculty members are encouraged to self-nominate for the vacancies listed below. Following the Spring Elections, any seats that remain unfilled are added to the Open Call list and subsequently filled through NEAC appointments.
 
Vacancies include positions on Senate Standing Committees, other Senate Committees, and University Committees. NEAC certifies nominees and submits recommendations to the Academic Senate, which then approves appointments via the Consent Calendar.
 

Please note: Any unfilled seats will appear on the monthly Open Call and continue each month during the Academic Year until seats are filled. If you miss this month's deadline, you will have the chance to submit during the next open call session. Open calls do not run during the summer (late May to mid-August).

*The form will be active in accordance with the stated timeline below. All other times, the form will be closed.

4/16/26 Nomination form opens.
4/24/26 Nominations due by 4:00 p.m. 
4/30/26 NEAC recommendations sent to Senate Office for inclusion on Consent Calendar.
5/6/26 Appears on Consent Calendar for Senate approval.

Eligible Faculty of the Senate

Seats that Eligible Faculty can run for (Article 3 of the 糖心原创 Constitution and Bylaws of the University Faculty and the Academic Senate), unless otherwise indicated in the call:

If you are: You can run for:
  • Lecturers holding appointments of one year or greater in academic departments
  • Part-time non-tenure-track Library Faculty
  • Part-time non-tenure-track SSP-AR
 Lecturer seats
  • Lecturers holding 3-year appointments of any time base in academic departments
  • Lecturers holding full-time appointments in academic departments
 Lecturer seats, College seats, Faculty At-large seats
  • Tenured and tenure-track persons holding Faculty rank, including Student Services Professional-Academic Related Faculty
  • Non-tenure-track SSP-ARs holding full-time appointments
  • Non-tenure-track Library Faculty holding full-time appointments
 College seats, Faculty At-large seat
