Inspector of Record (IOR) Services
The Inspector of Record (IOR) plays a critical role in ensuring that construction projects comply with approved plans, applicable building codes, and CSU requirements throughout the construction phase. Under California Code of Regulations and CSU requirements, IOR services are required for certain projects to support compliance with Title 24, CSU Plan Review standards, and occupancy approval processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing continuous or periodic inspections of construction work.
- Verifying compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
- Coordinating with contractors, design professionals, and campus stakeholders.
- Documenting inspection activities and maintaining required records.
- Supporting risk mitigation and assisting with project closeout and occupancy approval.
