PASSWORDMANAGEMENT
What is a MAC Address? A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique 12-character
identifier (e.g., 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E) assigned to a device's network adapter.
Each device may have separate MAC addresses for Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.
You will generally find your device's MAC Address in under your Internet or Network Settings in your device's General Setting's menu.
While not exhaustive, these instructions are for some more common devices:
If your Echo is already set up:
1. Open the Alexa app on your phone.
2. Tap Devices at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select your Echo device.
4. Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
5. Scroll down to About — your MAC address is listed there.
During initial setup:
The MAC address appears at the bottom of the Echo Setup screen while connecting to
the device's temporary Wi-Fi network in the Alexa app.
Alternatively:
Check the bottom of the Echo device or the original box for a label marked MAC ID
or WLAN MAC.
From the home screen, navigate to Menu → Settings → My Fire TV → About → Network.
Your MAC address will be listed on the right side of the screen.
On older Fire OS versions, the path may be: Settings → System → About → Network.
From the main menu, go to Settings → General → About.
Your MAC address is listed as:
Wireless ID — for a Wi-Fi connection
Ethernet ID — for a wired connection
Alternatively, you may find the MAC address printed on the UPC label on the Apple
TV box.
From Settings, go to Setup → Network → IP Address.
Both the wireless and wired MAC addresses are listed on this page.
Note: Seiki as a brand has been largely discontinued. Menu options may vary depending
on the model.
