LEARN MORE INFO SESSION

Graduate Faster, Spend Less, Build Your Future Closer to Home

The Software Engineering Pathway Program gives Riverside County high school students a streamlined route to a bachelor’s degree and a promising future in tech. You’ll start at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC), then transfer automatically to California State University San Marcos (ÌÇÐÄÔ´´) to earn your BS in Software Engineering at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s Temecula campus.

This partnership between your high school, MSJC and ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ removes the guesswork from planning your education. You’ll know exactly which classes to take, when to take them and how they fit together. Plus, you can get a head start while still in high school!

Here’s how it works: Take pathway-aligned courses in high school, earn your associate degree at MSJC in two years, then transfer with guaranteed admission to ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ to complete your bachelor’s degree in just two more years. You’ll finish with the same respected degree as any ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ graduate for roughly half the cost of a software degree at UC Riverside.

Your 4-Year Roadmap

A structured plan designed to get you from start to finish.

If you’re interested in pursuing software engineering or related tech fields, this program gives you a clear timeline and a path to graduation. In four years, you’ll be ready to start your tech career with the skills and credentials employers want.

Years 1-2: Mt. San Jacinto College

Begin at MSJC, where you’ll complete your general education and foundational coursework. You’ll graduate with an Associate Degree in Computer Science (AS-T) or Mathematics & Science (AA). Finish these two years successfully, and you’ll be automatically admitted to ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s Temecula campus.

Years 3-4: ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ at Temecula Campus

Transfer to ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ and dive into specialized software engineering courses. You’ll learn from the same experienced faculty who teach at the main campus and graduate with your Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.
