Who We Are
The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ is an initiative funded by community foundations and donors to support community health providers serving our most vulnerable neighbors.
- What We Do
- We engage students from the seven disciplines of CEHHS - nursing, social work, education, public health, kinesiology, speech-language pathology, and human development - in community-based health education and promotion events.
- With multiple disciplines participating at each event, these opportunities allow our students an interprofessional collaborative experience, which is proven to build stronger clinicians after graduation.
- Additionally, our students gain experience working in community health, as they speak directly with participants of all ages about health-related topics.
- Our Future
- Scale-up our community involvement by building additional relationships and partnerships to expand our reach to more communities struggling with health disparities.
- Add preventative health care services to our scope of practice for additional hands-on opportunities for students and added benefit for our community members.
- Acquire our own mobile health vehicle for improved efficiency. As our services expand, we will need a private clinical space for preventative services.

Mobile Wellness In the News
Channel 8 features Jonathon Jennings, who talks about moving from dancing to a second
career in nursing. A frequent volunteer with MWI while pursuing his degree, the video
highlights Jonathon's involvement at events 'working with underserved communities'
in 'health deserts.'
