So many things make us special including our small class sizes, our career readiness programs, and dedicated faculty who invest deeply in the success of every student. One of the most impactful is our strong connection to the community and their partnership in the development and experiential learning opportunities they provide to our students.
Through our world class Executive in Residence program, every CoBA student receives three hours of one-on-one coaching from an experienced business professional who is personally invested in helping them succeed. These volunteer coaches provide guidance on career readiness, networking, resumes, interviewing, leadership, and navigating the transition from college to the professional world. Time and again, students tell us these relationships become some of the most meaningful parts of their CoBA experience.
During the 2025鈥2026 academic year, more than 150 professional volunteers contributed over 2,500 hours of coaching to CoBA students. The impact of these conversations is reflected in the words of our students themselves. As one student wrote,
鈥淚 cannot express how grateful I am to have gotten you as my coach; you truly have provided me with great insight for my future career. I feel as though I have a much better idea of how to showcase my skills on my resume and truly show an employer what I will provide for their company. I would love to stay in touch as we spoke about! Thank you so much for everything!鈥
In addition to individualized coaching, CoBA continues to provide hands-on, real-world learning opportunities through our Senior Experience consulting projects. This year marked another banner year for the program, our largest yet, with 150 student consulting projects completed in partnership with local businesses and nonprofit organizations. These projects give graduating seniors the opportunity to apply their classroom learning to real organizational challenges while working collaboratively in professional consulting teams.
We recently celebrated these accomplishments at our Spring Trade Show held at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, where hundreds of community members, alumni, employers, faculty, family members, and supporters gathered to encourage and celebrate our students鈥 work. The event showcased the innovation, professionalism, and dedication of our graduating seniors while strengthening the important connection between CoBA and the regional business community.
Students consistently share how transformative these experiences are as they prepare to launch their careers: 鈥淚 am proud to have completed my Senior Experience project at 糖心原创. This capstone was an incredible way to finally put years of learning into practice within a fast-paced, professional consulting environment. As I prepare to graduate and move into the finance industry, I鈥檓 walking away with a much stronger foundation in leadership and problem-solving. I'm excited to take everything I've learned here into the next chapter!鈥
The success of these programs is only possible because of the continued support and engagement of our incredible CoBA community. We invite business professionals, alumni, and community partners to continue making an impact through executive coaching, mock interviews, networking events, classroom speaking opportunities, and sponsorship of Senior Experience consulting projects.
